Dr. Lank is a licensed Clinical Psychologist who holds a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, with twenty years of direct clinical service, including  specialization in substance related disorders, process addictions
and co-existing psychiatric disorders.

She is currently a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP) for treatment for  addictive and compulsive sexual behaviors

With a commitment to addictions field and treatment development, she has conducted original research to assess the correlation between personality variables and alcohol abuse and dependence. Dr. Lank has taught Assessment, Diagnosis, and Treatment of Substance-Related Disorders at both the undergraduate and graduate level and has worked in a wide range of local hospital, residential and outpatient settings including: Haight-Ashbury Psychological Services, Ohlhoff Recovery Programs, Kaiser Permanente Chemical Dependency Recovery Programs and the University of California San Francisco, Division of Substance Abuse and Addiction Medicine.

Her work has included clinical coordination and oversight for a federal and state-approved pilot program which provided opiate replacement treatment (ORT) supported by the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) and the San Francisco Department of Public Health (DPH). Dr. Lank currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for the National Council on Alcoholism and Other Drug Addictions (NCADA-Bay Area) in San Francisco, CA. and is a current committee member of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD) Diversity Committee in New York, N.Y.

Dr. Lank is founder of the Lank Institute for Sexual Addiction and Recovery (LISAR), for outpatient sex addiction psychotherapy. As program and treatment consultant, Dr. Lank provides individual, couples, family and group psychotherapy, in private practice in Marin County, California.
